Markings to capture something seen, felt or experienced.

Physically acting out inner impulses out of emotion or state of mind.

Done so as a visible impression or tracing on something; a line, cut, dent, strain or bruise.

As a boundary standing out so as to be visible attracting notice or attention.

As a line, notch, or fixed object designed to act as a record or position.

An impression made by a scratch, scar or stain made on something.

A notation of passing of time.
